How to Initiate a Plum Button Marketing and Design Studio Project with April M. Smith

The realm of Creative Services, Design, and Marketing products and/or services can be confusing, so to help you get started, here are a few big-picture questions for you to consider:

1. Do you have a specific product or service you need to promote/sell or basically just tell the world about? For example, I have promoted services (like financial advisory services and civil engineering services) and products (including books on spirituality, women’s hats and gloves, and carbide-cutting instruments.

2. Do you know how and when and where you want to promote your product/service or wonderous new idea?
The ‘how’ would identify what form(s) you envision your promotion taking such as a series of web banner ads, or printed postcards, or an 8-foot-tall tradeshow booth, and the ‘when’ would be based on your specific time frame guiding your promotional efforts asking “do you have a deadline to meet”? and the ‘where’ would be a reference to both the geographic location of your promotional efforts and if you wanted to promote in both the print and digital arena and to specific audiences.

3. Do you have anything already in use you need to build on or change? For Example, is there a logo you use now, and would like to update? Or a photograph of your company building that needs to reflect a new sign?

Once you have thought about these questions above, (and written your answers somewhere safe) then you’re ready to send a message to April Smith explaining what creative business solution you are in need of.
